Happy weekend!

Saturday is here and I’m so happy for this time to relax. As a preschool teacher here in Thailand, I need extra effort and patience in teaching my little learners in order to be effective in class. Plus, a dose of phys

ical humor. I’m not a gifted comedian but I realized that preschoolers have a simple sense of humor. Just do it with gusto. This week is extra challenging for me because I’ve lost my voice! Can you imagine teaching while being “speechless”? Thanks God that I did survive! My secret weapon? A mixture of facial expression, sign language, lots of flash cards and CD tapes! It works wonder to my 3-year-old learners. Can you believe that without my voice, the class is quieter. They sympathize my condition. They’re such sweetie pies!

Last night during our prayer meeting, I shared to the group how thankful I am to God for extra strength. I finished 23 hours of teaching. I checked an average of 162 workbook per day! Yes, I need to check workbook exercises everyday because if not I might need utility carts to pick up and send back workbooks from each classroom at the end of the week! This is a life of a preschool teacher- it’s tiring but it’s worth it especially if your little learners enjoy your class, greet you everyday with a happy smile and speak English back to you. It’s priceless!

a glimpse of the number of workbooks I need to check everyday:)
