1. I honestly and truly believe that teaching is what I was born to do; maybe God really does plan our lives and if we follow that plan we will be very happy with our lives.
2. The challenge of teaching a second language in the 21st century
3. The thrill of a good and well thought out lesson is incomparable
4. The kids energies; their inquisitiveness makes me want to go and teach them, and push them harder
5. I love the instant feedback I get from my students about my own performance, even when they don’t realize they’re doing it like saying “sanook mak”. It means they’re really enjoying the class that they want me to be back again
6. I enjoy seeing their growth over the nine months I have them; they come into pre-school as scared toddlers and leave at the end of the year, as (mostly) prepared for K-2
7. I love the range, I love the challenge, and I really love the kids!
8. I feel smarter every day that I come home from my job.
9. I love getting to know the kids and I especially love having siblings come up and watching the family grow; it is a real privilege to be part of people’s lives like that
10. It’s something like a mix of game show host, stand up comedian, mom, vaudeville juggler, and sports play-by-play commentator. They’re enough to serve as my appetite suppressants .

If I have to list all the reasons, it’s more than 10. Hope to find time to write all the reasons why I love my job as a teacher. How about you? Why do you love your job?
